Quilters By The Sea Welcome Home Quilt Show
Saturday October 16th 10-6 and Sunday October 17th 10-4

Local Driving Directions
From Newport in Middletown take Route 138/ East Main Road to the light at Oliphant
Lane. Turn onto Oliphant Lane. Jepson Lane will be on your right across from the
Tradesman Center. The school is on your left near the other end of Jepson Lane after 1.3
miles.
From Newport in Middletown take Route 114/West Main Road turn right onto Oliphant
Lane at the light. Jepson Lane will be on your left across from the Tradesman Center. The
School is on the left near the other end of Jepson Lane after 1.3 miles.
Quilters by the Sea are hosting their biannual Quilt Show. On
display will be an eclectic display of over 100 quilts of all sizes
ranging from very small to bed size, all made by guild members. If
the gorgeous quilts inspire you we urge you to buy a quilt at the
Boutique Table or bid on one at the "Small Quilt" silent auction to
for the New England Quilt Museum. If you want to make a quilt you
can buy used quilt books and magazines and crafty accessories at
the Boutique, take a chance on themed raffle basket of quilting
goodies, or join the Quilters By The Sea Guild at the show. You
can also buy supplies at our Vendors Mall. There are also non-
quilting handmade holiday gifts at the Boutique and a knitting raffle
basket .
The Welcome Home Quilt Show is for the whole family. Children
under 12 accompanied by an adult are admitted free. In addition,
they can compete for a free quilt by filling out the scavenger hunt
form. One of the forms with the most correct answers will be
drawn to win the lap quilt.
Sunday at 3 P.M. is the end of the ‘Small Quilt’ silent auction, to
benefit the New England Quilt Museum. Later we have the Raffle
Baskets winners followed by the drawing of the Welcome Home
Raffle Quilt.
f you are hungry you can step out of the quilt exhibit area to the
Lobby and support the student group of Portsmouth Music
Boosters by buying their various treats. You may not consume nor
bring food or drink including baby bottles into the Quilt Exhibit
Area in the gymnasium.
The site is handicapped accessible with ample free parking.
Easy Local Directions to The QBS Quilt Show
From Newport in Middletown take Route 138/ East Main Road to the light at

From Portsmouth Route 114/ West Main Road, turn left at the light to Union Street
by the big sign and plants. Jepson Lane is near the top of the hill on the right. The
school will be on your right shortly thereafter. ( Route 24 becomes Rt. 114.)
From Portsmouth Route 138/ East Main Road, turn at the Union Street light between
the Portsmouth Historical Society and the large sign and plants. Stay on the road
past the large pond until you see Jepson Lane on your left. Turn and the school
will be on your right shortly thereafter.
