Admission Cost: $5.00

Quilt makers and quilt lovers will want to enhance their Fall visit to
Newport, RI by attending the Quilters by the Sea Quilt Show. The
show will be held on Saturday, October 18 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
and Sunday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Portsmouth
Middle School on Jepson Lane in Portsmouth, RI. Donation is $5.00.
Children under 12 accompanied by an adult are admitted free of
charge.
More than 100 bed quilts, quilted wall hangings, and quilted
clothing made by guild members will be on display. There will be a
silent auction of small quilts. Very large themed raffle baskets
featuring “A for Applique”, “A Quilter’s Garden”, “Summer At The
Seashore”,” Harvest Traditions”, “Winter In New England”, and
“These Blues Will Make You Happy” will be raffled off. The
Quilters By The Sea “Red Skies At Night, A Quilter’s Delight” Raffle
Quilt will be displayed and tickets sold. Quilted pieces and other
items made by members will be sold in a boutique. Vendors will be
selling fabrics, kits, books and quilting supplies.

QUILTERS BY THE SEA
QUILT SHOW ENTRY RULES
1. Exhibitor must be a member of Quilters by the Sea.
2. Quilt must not have been shown in a previous QBS show.
3. Submit 2 copies of the entry form for each item. Do NOT fill in the entry number.
4. Attach a color photo of the item to one of the forms. Write your name and the title
of the entry on the back of the photo.
5. Securely attach (sewn on) a six (6) inch sleeve to the back of the items to be hung.
6. A cloth label with the submitter's name, address, and the title of the work must be
sewn to the back of the quilt.
7. Entries must be received no later than August 1, 2008. Earlier entries may be
mailed to Loretta Krebel (lmkrebel@cox.net) or Marilyn Perry (mtperry17@aol.com)
8. Membership dues must be paid by July 1, 2008 in order to enter a quilt in the
show.
9. You may submit multiple quilts. They must be numbered in order of preference. If
we do not have room to display all of your entries they will be chosen using the
order of your preference.
